Prakash Padukone was the first Indian to win the prestigious ALL ENGLAND BADMINTON CHAMPIONSHIPS way back in 1980. His titles also include the Inaugural World Cup in 1981 & a Bronze Medal in the World Championships in 1983. He won the National men’s singles title for 9 years in a row which is still a record. He was also the youngest mens singles champion at the age of 16. He is the recipient of Arjuna Award & Padma Shri from the Govt of India.

Prakash retired from competitive badminton in 1989 & founded Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy way back in 1994 to encourage &  nurture the promising badminton talent in
the country. The Academy has produced many stalwarts including the latest teen sensation Lakshya Sen who recently won a Bronze Medal on his debut in the World Badminton Championships in Dec- 2021.
 
He also co-founded Olympic Gold Quest, along with Geet Sethi, a not-for-profit foundation which helps top Indian Sportspersons to excel at the World level by providing financial assistance.
Prakash was chosen as one of the 60 Greatest Indians from all walks of life by a India Today Poll in 2008.

He has shared his sporting experiences with many corporates who have appreciated the fire side chat shows.

Prakash strongly believes that “LEARNING FROM SPORTS” can be immensely valuable to the modern day corporate world.
