Mark Colbourne MBE is a distinguished International Speaker and Leadership Coach with a diference, as he is Former World and Paralympic Gold Medal Cyclist from Great Britain, who competed in the iconic summer London 2012 Paralympic Games.

Unfortunately, in May 2009 whilst paragliding, Mark’s flying canopy unexpectedly collapsed and he crashed onto grass breaking his back in the near fatal crash. Mark had to learn to walk again albeit with lower leg paralysis and soon took to para-cycling and within a year was racing and winning international cycling events on the velodrome.

In 2011 British Cycling saw potential in Mark’s ability as a professional cyclist and he didn’t disappoint. In February 2012 Mark became a World Track Champion in Los Angeles. His remarkable desire to give 100% unfolded after breaking two world records in one day at the London 2012 Paralympic Games to win Gold for ParalympicsGB to become a successful Olympian. In May 2013 Mark was awarded the MBE by King Charles III for his services to his country.

Since 2013, Mark has presented and coached corporate audiences across the globe at over 200 conferences and events on the transformative subjects of resilience, winning with mindset, gaining peak performance and how to inspire yourself using your ‘why’. His engaging bespoke leadership programs are sought-after and his key-note dulcet tones are ones that can leave staf leaving positive and inspired for life.
